How the referral code generator works

1

Choose a preset

Start from a template that matches the codes you need, or set the count, length, prefix, and pattern yourself.

2

Generate the codes

Click Generate. Codes are created right in the browser and checked against each other, so every code in the set is unique.

3

Copy or download

Copy the whole list to the clipboard, or download a CSV to open in Excel or import into another system.

What referral codes are for

A referral code is a short identifier a customer or partner hands to the people they refer. When a new customer signs up with the code, the business knows exactly who sent them, which makes it possible to say thanks with a reward.

Generated codes work well for offline referrals, printed cards, events, and one-off promotions. For an ongoing program, referral software creates a code for each member automatically and records every signup against it.

Frequently asked questions

A tool that creates batches of unique codes from random letters and numbers, based on settings you control. People use the codes for referral programs, promotions, event tickets, and anywhere else a unique identifier is needed.
Up to 1,000 codes per batch. If you need more, run several batches and give each one a different prefix so the sets can never overlap.
Yes, within a batch. Every code is checked against the others before it makes the list, so a batch never contains duplicates. Uniqueness across separate batches isn't guaranteed, so if you need one big unique set, generate it in a single batch.
Codes are built with the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, the same one used for security-sensitive work. That makes them practically impossible to guess or predict.
No. The generator is completely free and there's no signup. Use the codes however you want, commercially or otherwise.
No. Codes are generated in the browser and never sent to a server, so nobody but you ever sees them. That also means they're gone when you close the tab, so copy or download them first.
